Fieldwork Practice

A. Concept of Fieldwork Practice (FWP)

Fieldwork Practice (FWP)) is a compulsory course (3 credits) in the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics which is taken for 1 month. FWP is a student activity in order to practice the knowledge they have got during lectures. Activities of FWP have a very important role in helping students to recognize organizational management, problems that arise in the field of work and problem solving in the institutions. Furthermore, FWP can be utilized by students in the preparing for thesis bachelor and adding insight in employment for students. The models of FWP include problem solving, the application of science and technology, and apprenticeship in the institution.

B. Course Outcome:

After completing the FWP, students can:

CO1. demonstrate collaborative attitude and independence in carrying out individual tasks in the real work situation.

CO2. be responsible to their work and give contribution for the community, especially in the workplace.

CO3. apply mathematical knowledge and skills in real work situation.

CO4. solve problems in real work using mathematical skill.

CO5. use the information and communication technology as well as the new mathematical ideas in the real work situation.

C. Place of FWP

Institutions that can be used to FWP are institutions related to mathematical and its applications including government institutions, state companies, private companies, banking and so on.
