Health Data Transformation: Dashboard Development Training at the Gunung Kidul Health Office

The Gunung Kidul Health Office, in collaboration with the Community Service (PkM) Team from Yogyakarta State University (UNY), successfully conducted a training program on developing health data dashboards. The activity took place in two sessions, on September 26 and October 8, 2024, attended by 28 participants, including representatives from community health centers (puskesmas) across Gunung Kidul and several staff members from the local Health Office.
The program was led by Dr. Sri Andayani, M.Kom., together with the Mathematics Study Program PkM Team, UNY. The main objective was to strengthen participants’ skills in health data analysis and facilitate the visualization of health information to support better decision-making processes.
“An effective dashboard helps us monitor and analyze health data more accurately and efficiently,” explained Mr. Bambang Sumarno H.M., M.Kom., during his introductory session.
Participants learned various techniques for creating dashboards using relevant tools available in Microsoft Excel. With this new knowledge, it is expected that they will be able to apply the skills gained to improve the performance and quality of health services in their respective areas.
This training represents part of the Mathematics Study Program’s ongoing commitment to utilizing information technology in enhancing public health service quality through data-driven approaches.
