Training on Quantitative Data Analysis Using JASP/Jamovi for High School Mathematics Teachers at SMA N 1 Wonosari

The rapid development of technology has also influenced the advancement of data analysis tools. Modern data analysis now increasingly relies on open-source software, which can be accessed by anyone without license fees. Among the most popular tools today are JASP and Jamovi, which have gained significant attention from data analysts worldwide.

However, within the field of education—especially among teachers in Gunungkidul Regency—the utilization of these tools remains limited. Many teachers still rely on paid software or manual methods to process research data, which can hinder the efficiency and accuracy of quantitative research instrument analysis. The main challenge lies in the lack of understanding and technical skills needed to apply JASP and Jamovi effectively in educational research.

To address this issue, a Community Service Program (PkM) was conducted on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at SMA N 1 Wonosari. The event was attended by members of the Mathematics Teachers’ Association (MGMP Matematika). The training introduced teachers to the practical use of Jamovi for data analysis in research contexts. Participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the sessions.

The speakers for the event were Prof. Heri Retnawati, M.Pd., Prof. Jailani, M.Pd., Prof. Kana Hidayati, M.Pd., Dr. Elly Arliani, and Dr. Dwi Lestari, supported by student assistants Fina and Ria.

Through this training, it is expected that more teachers will be inspired to engage in research and be able to perform data analysis more efficiently using Jamovi.
